Now that Marvel Studios seems to be leaning towards some multiverse shenanigans in Spider-Man: No Way Home, this potentially opens up the possibility of prior actors reprising their roles. Unfortunately that didn't happen and the MCU rebooted Spider-Man in their universe with Tom Holland instead. If Sony's previous series of films were allowed to continue, this would've led to a Sinister Six film. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 saw Chronicle star Dane DeHaan take on the role of Harry Osborne/Green Goblin. ![]() ![]() However, Green Goblin doesn't seem intent on returning. ![]() Andrew Garfield recently stated that he hadn't received a call from Marvel yet to reprise his role as Spider-Man in the MCU's upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home, but it looks like Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx are locked in to return as Doc Ock and Electro, respectively. 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man may have not been the breakthrough success of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man, but it managed to inject a more human side to Peter Parker while enhancing his comedic quips as Spider-Man. ![]()
